I just recently got diagnosed at 26 and just got back from clinic. I have lost 20% (from 95% to 75%) of my lung function since the beginning of March. So they decided I need IVs. It is impossible for me to be admitted and I have home IV experience from doing them with my daughter. My question is that since I do not yet have Medicaid and SSI, how hard is it normally to get stuff set up with an infusion company and insurance the first time?

So you have NO insurance coverage at this time?

If not....I would think it would be difficult. Definitely check into it with an agency about payments etc.

I'm kind of confused... do you have private insurance right now? Or do you not have any insurance and you are waiting for your Medicaid and SSI application to be processed>

Wishing you good vibes in hopes to get your function and then some back!

I have private insurance right now. I just have a difficult time covering copays. I am trying to figure out what the difference is on copays between IV meds and regular meds.
