Nocardia & MAI

It's been a while since I dropped in here last... I recently found out I growing some fun little bugs- Nocardia & MAI. They've got me on LONG-TERM course of Bactrim, right off the bat. I'm just looking for anyone is fighting these or has tackled them in the past. I'm still waiting to see the Infectious Disease doctor next week but I'm trying to see what to expect... @#$%^!!

I had Nocardia a few years ago due to aspirating into my lung. It took 6 months of IV and oral medication but I got through it and am now doing better than ever. I don't remember what all I was on but I know it was a few different things and they changed the IV meds at one point. Good luck to you.
