NUK Quick n Ready Steam Sterilizer

In our recent shipment of HTS from CF services Pharmacy there was some literature about Cayston and an offer for a free NUK Quick n Ready Steam Sterilizer.

I wondered if this is a new product (which differs from the Germ Guardian because of the steam) and if anyone has used it or knows if this product is approved by CFF?

It looks similar to the Avent IQ steam sterilizer that many here use and that has been around for a few years now. Avent makes both a microwave and plug-in version; the IQ plugs in, reaches 212* (unlike Germ Guardian) and likely works just like this Nuk one does. Since the steam reaches the temperature necessary for sterilization, I think this is a good method.

People have posted that their clinics report that the CFF is doing testing with the Avent; I have no idea about this one. I personally love our Avent and if the Nuk works the same way would certainly take up on the offer for a free one... again, I can't comment on this brand specifically but rather the method of sterilization being a good one & seemingly well regarded here if you do a search for Avent.

Jane-
NUK Quick normally costs a bit less that the Avent which is most likely why they chose it.

I only use my Germ Guardian to dry my wet STERILIZED nebs and leave them in there until I use the.

Me too. If the other one also sterilizes, then I'd rather have that. I'll ask when we're in clinic on Friday.
