I have a "mandatory corporate meeting" at 3 where they're going to tell us about changes to our insurance. My manager already leaked the general subject to me in passing.

I don't know any of the plan details but they are switching us from United Health (which I hate) to BCBS.

What have been your experiences with BCBS? Do they work well with the CF centers? What about durable equipment? Pulmozyme, Colisten, other high price drugs?

Worst case, I get on my wife's insurance. I'm nervous but I have a plan B.

This is so odd. My primary is B/C, but the division that handles DME, Outpatient & DOctors is United Healthcare LOL!

I have never had a problem. Mine is a PPO & not an HMO so maybe that helps. Does your doctor accept it? OR this is something you need to find out?

I think plans vary depending on the agreements between BCBS and the company subscribing. That said, we have never had a problem getting anything covered except the Vest. The most significant to us is a $30 copay for TOBI which costs almost $5000.00. Anyway, We're very happy with them.
