Okay I thought this was highly bizarre and wanted to share so no one else has to lose the nebulizer cups like I did. Okay I have about 6 or 7 nebulizer cups 3 of which I have been using for the Oregano Oil and the others I use for my pulmozyme and/or Albuterol without OO. I usually clean them all every few days. Well today I decided that I was going to clean them really well cause the ones I had been using the OO in still weren't looking clean after a pretty thorough cleaning. So I heated some water in the microwave for a few minutes and was going to soak the nebs in it for a little while. I have done this before and there was no problem no melting or anything, so I didn't see a problem with it.
Well ... this time was different. most of the nebs were fine and all of the mouthpieces and things were normal but when I started removing the cups the 3 that I use with OO were completely deformed and clouded to the point I can't see through them. Bizarre thing that the melted and the others didn't even though they were all in the water for the same length of time and at the same time, so I know it was the same temp. They are all deformed in the same general pattern. They are no longer round but more oval and kind of pinched in at different points.
Just wanted to share in case anyone else had the same problem and so you guys didn't try to sanitize the nebs you use with OO the same way I did.
Have a good one,
Lindsey
