The extra saliva and/or drooling, depending on age, can be a sign of a breathing problem, however, it is usually detected with a pulse ox. Not necessarily associated with CF but certainly could be a sign of a breathing issue depending on age, the younger they are the more likely and the older they are the less likely.

Oh my goodness, thank you guys so much for your input! I really needed to hear from parents that are dealing with this issue first hand. I am trying to get a closer appt with the lung specialist. May 1st was his closest appt. So I am looking somewhere else. I truly appreciate your information. I will keep you informed as I know something. I have asthma so I'm just really praying for that. My oldest child is special needs and right now, I really am not sure I could handle something as strong as this. I give you all such praise for your strength and commitment. I am awed by your life and what you must deal with daily. I wish you and your children luck with this and what ever else they and you are dealing with!
