I have a question.. My oxygen is humidified which is wonderful, I don't feel dried out at all but... the question I have is about every five minutes or so.. I get a squirt of water that shoots into my nose.. it is leaking into my tubing... Is this normal? or what should I do to prevent this from happening?

Thanks

normally it is one of two things...you may be filling the water bottle to high or the more likely culprit is the temperature variance from your floor to your nose. Many times condensation will get into the line due to this...drape your tubing across your furniture to get it off the floor to get a more constant temperature throughout. I know it sounds crazy but it works.

hope this helps

Thanks Luke I will try it... Do you think bacteria will develop in the tubing now that I have distilled water in there?? THat is the last thing I need to do is inhale some bacteria??

I just got the tubing yesterday so I think if I can dry it out it will be fine... but I am not sure...

Thanks again

As long as you can get it dry you should be fine...if it persists I would change it. Also your DME company can also bring you a water trap if those suggestions don't work. take care
