Pari Proneb Ultra

My daughter's compressor seems to be on the fritz. We us it at least 4 times a day. When i tried to do her evening treatments lastnight the proneb just wouldn't switch on. My husband thought perhaps the compressor blew a fuse(like a hairdrier might). Anyone have this happen before? Luckily, we have another compressor , just a cheapo one til i can get in touch with Pari on Monday(of course stuff always breaks over the weekend) We've only had this Pari compressor for 6 months.This morning when I went to turn on the Pari it did work. And of course, my daughter has a terrible head cold so she NEEDS her treatments big time.

My experience with the pari neb/ compressor's is that with cf and all the treatments we do, they are just not equipped to work for very long. It even says in the manual that they are not intended for more than 35 straight minutes of continuous use. I just sent one back that I had for about a month. I got the new ultraproneb II and hopefully it works better.

I also had a Pari Proneb ultra quit working after about 6 months of use. The healthcare company I had ordered it from, told me they no longer use them because of so many complaints of them not working long. They replaced it with something else.

I actually spoke with someone at the Pari company. I sent back the old compressor yesterday. They said they would ship back a new one within 24-48 hrs of receiving the one I sent in. We'll see what happens. i have my daughter's cheapo compressor at home we'll use in the meantime.
