PFT's, O2 Sats and Finger Clubbing - Survey

Hi all<br>

I've read many different explanations of why some CF'ers get finger
clubbing - some sources say it is due to low O2 sats, some say it
is due to malabsorption of food, some just don't know.<br>
<br>
I'm curious to see if we as a community can work it out and while
I'm at it, I want to see if there is any correlation between FEV1
level and O2 sats, as it seems a little unpredictable - like most
other things to do with CF I guess.<br>
<br>
Anyhoo, If anybody is interested i'd like to know your FEV1 score,
your normal O2 sat level and whether you have no clubbing, mild,
moderate or severe clubbing, so I'll start <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"><br>
<br>
FEV1 = 40%<br>
O2 Sat = 97-99%<br>
Finger Clubbing - Moderate<br>

Sat 95

Clubbing....mild


***I do have a cousin with no CF, BUT diabetes who has severe clubbing. I always found that to be odd!

FEV1 = 95%
O2 Sat = varies from 96-100
Clubbing = mild if at all

i've never heard clubbing is related to nutrition. i know those who get transplants often have their clubbing reversed which leads most to think it's due to O2 sat

O2 Sat = 98%

Finger Clubbing - moderate; i'd like to add that i don't think my clubbing has changed very much over the years.

Clubbing- I guess moderate? I don't have anything to really compare
it to. so not sure what mild/moderate/severe looks like...

Normal:
Fev1: 48%
02- 94
Clubbing~only on two fingers

Currently
Fev1: 29%
02-91 (am on oxygen at night and exercising)
clubbing~same

So for me it hasn't changed but my oxygen sure has, I've been on oxygen now for two months.
