PICC and numbness

Hi all-
I got a PICC last Friday and everything has been fine. Today my arm have been feeling numb. It has been going on and off but want to know if I can wait until tomorrow to call my nurse or if this is very serious.

Has anyone else had this? It feels like it is falling asleep

I get it quite often. The nerve is probably being pinched. Try some easy stretching up above your head, to the side with your arm etc. Maybe you can get the nerve to move!

IF not warm compresses might help!

The meds themselves shouldnt be causing numbness in the arm. If you are talking in other parts of the boldy then I would hold off & contact the home agency or doctor.

One med I did made my lips numb, but not enough to stop doing. If it seems like a pinched nerve type thing in the arm that wont have an affect on the meds.
