Post tx assistance

I am contemplating being listed for tx, but want all of my ducks in a row so I don't leave my family bankrupt, etc. before I start the process.
My insurance & fundraising efforts should cover the tx, but my insurance does not cover post tx care & I can't ask others to keep giving my family money after the tx, I think that would put them in a uncomfortable situation.
With that being said, other than Medicaid, does anyone know of any non-profit type companies that assist w/ post tx costs? I'm not sure I can qualify for Medicaid because we are probably in that grey area, not poor, but not rich enough to pay for all of this either. Please forgive my ignorance, maybe that's not the way Medicare works. I plan to call them tomorrow to get more details!
Also, if you know of any websites I could visit, that would be great too! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Thank you

Hi,
There are some organizations that help with organizing a group to raise money or pre and post tx expenses. National Transplant Organization, COTA, and several others. Be sure to check with the state you live in as to whether they have an adult CF assistance program that might help with expenses.

I am about to celebrate my 7th year of tx and I know the money is important. The meds are expensive, the time away from work can be long, and trips to the center may mean cutting back on hours, or change in careers.

I also have a web site for Transplant Support.... check it out if you like.

Lots of resources are available and connecting to other pre and post tx folks, many with CF.
