I was wondering if anyone drinks protein shakes and lifts weights. If so, what have you found to work the best at building mass?

Stick with plain old whey protein and lots of good whole food. Anything above and beyond that is a huge waste of money. Trust me.

I use Pride products. The big thing is that your body will only use 30 grams of -fast- acting protein. The rest will not be absorbed, and excreted through urine. Whatever is not excreted can be stored like fat. Slow acting protein...from eggs and such is also in this product, resulting in 50 grms per serving. Also watch when you are intaking....if your intake is three of protein per day, you may need to cut back. When you have too much protein, your glutamine levels kilter....Lastly...protein after you work out....protein as a "supplement" to 6 regular food intakes, and definitely a serving before you go to bed. I cut down the water to 6 ounces at night...water is only a transport agent. Basically stagger your protein between your afternoon snack.
