Question about antibiotic Pramaxin

Hi Guys,

As you know I am in the slammer.... I am still waiting to find out if I am going to have surgery on my stomache......They did a cat scan to see if I am improving or not... I feel better then I did but still not great..

They called my infectious disease doctors in today to try to come up with a stronger cocktail of antibiotics.... They said the medicine should have worked by now if it was going to.

I am really praying that I don't need it... and also I have to give them a decision about taking the fibroids out..trying to decide if I should just let them do a hysterectomy I am really attached to my uterus, even though I know I probably won't use it..ITs mine and I want it..


Anyway, the new medicine I am on is Pramaxin, have you ever heard of it? been on it? I am about to have the infusion start.. Looking for advice...

hey jennifer sorry to hear you joined the slammer club! My sister also had the fibroids and she went ahead with the surgery, and she is still having problems! Anyway about Pramxin I am on it now, and have been on it before. I've been on it for almost 3 weeks now and I haven't had any side effects. The only thing I dont really like about it, is that it seems to take forever to infuse! But that can be just my dosage. Hope all goes well with you!
