Question about Furnance Air Filters

Hi,

I think I have read on here about a few of you who have air filters over your entire heater/airconditioners systems

I have the room ones that I love, but being that I am moving and going to have my own house I was wondering what I could get to put over my furance and air conditioner system in my house to help filter the air....

I am going to have Central Air and I am scared to death of the air conditioner vents getting moldy... I react very strongly to mold and get really sick from it, really fast so I am trying to do some preventive stuff now...PLus in the winter there, It will be cold enough that I will have to use heat.. Hot air is another big enemy of mine as far as breathing goes and I would love to be able to put something over the entire unit

Thanks so much

Not an authority on it but we did some looking into a company called I believe AprilAire, someoen mentioned it on here before so you may try a search. They do top of the line whole house filtrations systems. Definately worth the investment for a new home IMO.

try looking up a company called aprilaire--I beleive. It was mentioned on here before. Definately worth it for anew house, cant be too careful with breathing air.

Also if you have issues with mold just FYI that fresh paint forms or releases a mold as it dries-cant remember which so you should let the house air out for a few days at a minimum before closing it up and turingin on AC, this is what we did when repainting.
