We just got the culture results from the girls' most recent clinic visit. Isabella is bug free, but Taylor cultured a little pseudomonas and this ralstonia pickettii thing. Our nurse coordinator (who has been caring for Cfers for a long time) said she had never heard of it before. She sent us an article and it sounds like it is pretty rare, so there is not much research on it.
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this bug? It is really a bummer because Taylor hasn't cultured anything for almost a year now.
The doctor started her on Cipro and Colistin. The ralstonia is resistent to tobramycin.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
