Really bad smell in my nose

I have this really bad smell in my nose, it's like the smell of really strong "jamón" (ham) or sheep meat. I suppose it's because of a sinus infection, but I don't have a bad pain like normally when I have a sinus infection. I have had some pain, but not that bad, just this horrible smell. Can anyone relate, and have any ideas on how to make it go away? I take nasonex once a day.

Thanks.

That happens to me as well, and I assume it's a sinus issue. Sorry--no ideas on how to get rid of it. Mine has just always gone away eventually.

I know exactly what you're talking about...and it's gross. I always get a really bad/foul smell in my nose when I'm getting a sinus infection.

Maybe try some nasal rinse/sinus irrigation to help clear it out. I use the Waterpik w/ nasal adapter at home, and SinuRinse when I travel..it has really helped w/ reducing my sinus issues and getting rid of the smell.

i have chronic sinus issues (have had 5+ sinus surgeries). anyhow, i swear by the Sinus Rinse (by Neil Med Pharmaceuticals). ask your doctor first (in order to determine safety for you). like debra, i love what they have done for me. since starting them 3 1/2 years ago, i have only had one sinus surgery! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">the hypertonic (you flush with a salt water solution)rinse helps flush out mucous and open up those nasal passageways! and yes, i do get a foul smell sometimes when i am getting a sinus infection.
