Terribly embarrassing problem to have as an adult.
First let me apologize for having never posted before despite the fact that I am a frequent reader. Now that that's said, let me continue.
I am a 26 year old female w/cf. I am relatively healthy with mainly respiratory and sinus involvement. I am considered pancreatic sufficient and I am considered overweight for my height.
I am having symptoms of rectal prolapse. I have not had this problem as an adult and hoping to know if I should worry or not. I try, at all costs, to avoid the clinic during the months of July and August as all the new residents arrive and I would have to go through the new resident intake with the countless questions and re-do of my medical history. So I'd like to avoid going to the dr. at all costs, particularly since the fellow I'd seen for several years left recently and I'd be under new care.
I have noticed that I've had some increasing stomach symptoms lately including bulkier stools that tended to be very greasy. Though I've also had some constipation issues today. I have always had problems if I don't eat foods relatively low in fat. Clearly weight gain has never been an issue. Generally I'm ravenously hungry and I am not today nor was I yesterday. I only generally feel this way before I get an infection.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Help?
