Seriously, Why do things have to be made harder for us

This whole enzyme issue is absurd and annoying. It reminds me of the whole H1N1 debacle. WHat is wrong with our system that takes away a drug; for a very small, sick population to "make it better and safe" when we've already been taking this drug for years...One day it's safe, the next day stop manufacturing it? It is absurd!! I just feel like venting... They should have "grandfathered" in the patients with existing prescriptions of Pancrecarb and not shut down manufacturing of it...How could that have been so hard? What is wrong with this picture?

It's so frustrating and from what I understand from one of our pharmacists -- who never knew about this until I called them mid-April--- it's not the drug companies fault -- several of them submitted the applications for the new drugs months, if not a year ago and are still awaiting approval from the FDA. THEN, they have to repackage, manufacture the new medication under a new name.

My son takes Ultrase. Luckily, I stock piled it because we got it for free. I have planty now, but I just got a letter from Axcam saying the particular Ultrase my son takes (lowest possible dose) is not even seeking approval? WTF? My son has been growing like a weed and doing spectacular. i have no idea what we are going to do. Grr.

So annoying and no logic either. Absolutely ridiculous. In the UK, a few people I know were years ago taken off pancrease or nutrizyme which were working fine, then given Creon instead because that is all they ever want to prescribe here now... don't know why. Many of these people cannot digest with creon of any strength, it just doesn't work for them... and it's really really difficult to get nutrizyme now. Seems to be precious few able to obtain it.
