Sinus infection/Steriods

Today I called my CF doc(actually I called her 3 days ago, but called again b/c my med wasn't called in). Well she is out of town so the "other" doctor, which I hate, and is such a know-it-all BI%#@, and told her I needed a script for bactruim and cipro. Well she refused to call it in (even though the other doc has 100 times). She told me I needed to go see my primary doc, which is fine if I had one. Then I told her that if she had informed me of this a few days ago it would have been easier. But we are going out of town tomorrow. She then tells me if I am that sick I don't need to go anywhere. SERIOUSLY? A sinus infection sucks but isn't that serious, UNLESS you don't treat me....anyways. Needless to say I hung up on her b/c she just kept getting ruder and refused to listen. She went to Yale and thinks she knows everything.

So the base doc I saw knows about CF and all. He gave me some cipro, bactrium, and a 7 day steriod dose. My question is this: I tend to get high blood sugars when on IV steriods. So yall think I should check my sugars regularly for the next week? Will it hurt me if I don't? The steriod pack is only 4mg tablets. 7 today, 6 tomorrow, and so on until they are gone. I am thinking I would be ok, but I was curious what yall think.
