Sinus irrigation ideas

The ENT specialist told us that our son needs sinus irrigation. He suggested using a water-pic with an adapter. I have since found that it is very tough and too much pressure. I was directed to use a Netti-Pot by a fellow parent. We did it..............with great difficulty. Does anyone have a game to encourage it???.....

Our 2 year old with CF also has serious sinus issues. We started using the Neil Med sinus rinses and they work great! It is a salt solution put into a small squeeze bottle of sterile water. The water is squeezed up one nostril and flows through the other one. It really keeps things clear.

I have flushed my sinusses for a while and just did it with a 5 ml seringe. Pushed the salt water in gently, but not too gently cause it wouldn't get to the right place and just come out again hehe

I do the same as Margolein.

I find this to be the best because you are not contaminating yourself. I throw away the syringe after each day.

There is nothing laying around especially in bathrooms where most people would irrigate.

I second Neil Med for myself and son when he has issues. Love it and it is no worries for germs in the saline ect since each time is a new packet and sterile water. We found ours at Walgreens.
