sore knees

yesterday i decided to go run a lap around the hospital cause i was sick of sitting around inside, and about 150 yards into it my knees started really hurting every time i took a step but it didn't hurt near as bad when i walked and they hurt the rest of the evening, could this be arthritis? they've been sore other times just walking around and my hip will be sore too ocassionally, but never like this.
my request is, for the people who have arthritis describe what it feels like, does this at all sound like arthritis maybe, i was thinking that maybe the iv meds i'm on made it worse, i'm on tobra and fortaz, in the past every time something got sore i always just figured it was due to i went 14 years with screwed up vitamin levels before i was diagnosed, when i was diagnosed, all the fat soulubles were really messed up

I have not been officially diagnosed with Arthritis but have been diagnosed with Osteoporosis. I think in your case it could be either. All you would need to do is get a bone scan and see what that says.

Prednisone will make my kneecaps hurt like someone took a hammer to them. I get a lot of joint pain, specifically knees, on certain abx, also.

hmm... not on prednisone, and had a bone scan when i first came in this time, i assume it came back normal, the dr didn't say anything and he's usually pretty good about telling me if something came back out of the norm, its not like there is a whole lot to do about it if it is arthritis so i'm honestly not that worried about it, just take some ibuprophen and move on
