Spirometers are PC based?

At our Medrise Store, we have taken your lead and contacted many spirometer companies. (Remember the surveys from last summer? You definitely wanted to know more about spirometry!)

What we have found in our research, is that if the device connects to the computer, it does so PC based. Please tell us if you know of a MAC based spirometer that is FDA approved and good to go.

We have connected with many manufacturers and are in discussions to find the perfect devices for this community.

It really depends on what you are looking for. If you have a MAC, as one customer did, then, like him, you will need a Windows format for your computer.

As you can imagine, the advantage of having this device "on-line" is you can keep in better contact with your doctor, by emailing your scores. You can easily keep a record of your scores with a built in diary if available.

Some of the spirometers are web based and allow for live testing with the Doctor's Office, so no need to go to the office for the test.

We are working to serve you with the most useful tools for CF.

This is about SUPPORT and hence service.
