SSDI Question

I'm applying online for SSDI, and there is a section about payments received from your employer after the date of disability. Do I include payments for short-term disability? Or do I just include bonus payments, stock compensation etc.? My company actually pays the short-term disability (not the insurance co.) until I switch onto long-term, then the insurance company pays.

Thanks - Jim

PM Julie, she knows about this stuff... or write DAFCF, <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.dafcf.org/contact.php,">http://www.dafcf.org/contact.php,</a> and tell them.

As for SSDI, I have been going through it, pretty much since 2000... they will make sure your life is ruined (Worse) before you get benifits. It is a cruel process. Get a lawyer, take the DAFCF's advice and good luck to you.

I bought a gun, and forgot to buy ammo, had I bought the ammo... I wouldn't be able to write you this message today, so I sold the gun and chose to fight with my wit. This is what SSDI will do to you.

Good luck in every point of your life.

Click the attachment on my above post, and they will help you out. My problems have been that the judges are not familiar with CF... we do have a rare disease, and they do not believe, even with the evidence in front of them, that I could be on this "Rollercoaster" of illness.

I am going through college... it has taken me nearly 4.5 years to earn my AAS degree, I was in my second semester when I went to court last, and they state that since I can go to college, I can work. Federal court didn't agree with that statement made by the judge, but still remanded and didn't overturn the decition because, I was not clear in my statement.

When asked in court if I had to spend two or more days in bed per month... I stated " at least" not spacific enough for the court... little things like that.

Well, facts are that classes last no more than 4 hours... most last 2 hours. I can get up in the middle of class, anytime that I need, unlike a work situation, to spit up if I am having a coughing issue. The College states that if I don't want to come to class... I don't have to... my loss... where in a work situation it would be you're fired!

Lack of knowledge on the turn of my attorney, the judge, and myself... I guess I am going to have to explain every detail of everyday.

Contact the DAFCF and they will help you, and you shouldn't have to go through the Hell that I have.

Good Luck... and get an attourney... or they will find a way to deny you.
