Does anyone have experience with sterilizing nebulizers in the microwave? I have been told to get either a baby bottle sterilizer or breast pump sterilizer bags.
I spent two years at college where I boiled water in my microwave and then poured it over my nebs in a pan (a copper bottom pan used only for my nebs) Sometimes if I felt like it I would go to the dorm kitchen and actually boil them on the stove. I have to say I don't think it worked against me I was the healthiest I had been in awhile - and even since then.
i use a baby bottle steriliser shove 200mls water in it along with the mouth piece.. bung in the microwave for 5mins// leave to cool down for 2mins and your done...simple! i would def advice them much more convinient than boiling all the time!
i put water in the microwave...get it nice and hott and dip the nebulizer in there for a few <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
I used to boil them (with vinegar & water) in the microwave, but then the constant hot steam broke the microwave!! (at least that's what the repairman said!) But I didn't have a lid on or anything, so I am sure that made things extra steamy! Now I just use a teapot and pour the boiling water over the nebs (which are in a separate bowl with the vinegar)! Good luck! Happy steaming! Post your tips!
I am not really sure what the brand is but it is a dome shape with vented holes on top. I can around 4 pari nebs in there at one. I bought mine at Toys R us but I am sure Target has one. I love Target
