My specialist is testing me for a 'special' kind of TB CF'ers can get. Anyone know anything about it? I don't think I have it, but it's been almost 2 months and the results are not back yet. thanks.
Hello! I know what they are testing for, i have it! It is a cousin to TB, and it is not contageous to anyone, not even other CFers. If it goes without treatment it spreads fast, i was on a triple combo of antibiotics for 2.5 years for it, now all is good. It landed me in hospital a lot until they finally tested for it, i don't recall the name of it, but yeah it seems to be gone now!
Yes I know what it is I have it . It's called mac that they detect in your sputom culture . It's catchy only to other cf'ers and is treated with 4 antibiotics for one year at least which makes you nautious and can cause liver problems so you need your blood test taken every other week! It can give you this cronic cough that no antibiotic can take away except for these4.
