The Devilbiss is Growling Again

A couple nights ago DS's two year old Devilbiss started growling -- sounded like the fan was getting stuck. It's been a year and a half since his last one lost time and started doing the same thing. Sigh. I bought a new pari this fall because our original one never did work correctly -- 20-25 minutes for albuterol, 45-50 for tobi... But now I've been hearing people are having issues with the Pari, too so I'm waiting for that one to blow up on us...

We have a 14 year old Devilbiss that DH's cousin gave us for a spare to use at the inlaws and that one works like a dream. Guess they just don't make them like they used to.

So I was looking on the internet trying to get the contact info to send in the Devilbiss for repairs/replacement. Last time it took 3 weeks and they replaced it.

Saw a newer model on their site. I know this machine hasn't been approved for tobi or pulmozyme -- but doesn't it look cool?! More compact and it has a neb holder like the pari.

That looks interesting (especially the "more reliablity" part <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> ). Maybe you could email them, and ask for a comparision from the spec sheets, and see if the new one is the same or better as the Pulmo-aid...
