Those with one lung....

I had never heard of someone have one lung removed until a few people mentioned it on here. I am not anywhere near needing a procedure like this, I'm jsut curious about how it effects your day to day life. Do you have to limit activities...do you feel a big difference?

I have had one lung for almost 7 years now. I had 1/2 my left lung removed because of massive hemoptysis when I was 19 and the other 1/2 at 40 again due to massive hemoptysis. Two years before they removed the rest of the lung I was in and out of the hospital having 5 embolizations and on all sorts of IV's. Since the operation I have not been hospitalized or had IV's. I do not miss the lung as it was more trouble than it was worth. I feel very good. and have no physical restrictions at all. My PFT's are 45. For any specific questions feel free to PM me.
