Hey everyone. My husband has been recently diagnosed with CF and he has spent the last two days throwing up blood and stomach acid. He is not on his meds right now b/c we don't have health insurance and the medication is so expensive as you all know. He also has a very swollen tongue full of those little "lie" bumps and thrush. Do any of you have these problems?? I'm going to call the CF clinic tomorrow but don't want to take him to the hospital unless really necessary b/c of the expense. Any help, advice, suggestions would be WONDERFUL!

I would say if he's throwing up more than half a cup, you need to take him to the ER or call the CF doctor tonight. There should be someone on call.

What did his doctors tell him to do after you posted this thread:

I also am curious what you did last time. It appears there are things that need to be addressed because it will only get worse.

WIth or without insurance.....CF is equal opportunity if it wants to flare up it will!
