To sterilize or not to sterilize?

Okay...in addition to nursing, Ellie is being fed fortified breast milk...my question: do I need to worry about sterilizing the pump pieces after each use? This is aside from the beliefs of whether or not to sterilize because she is an infant, but more in relation to her having CF...

I'd think that you'd need to sterilize it all. You don't want to contaminate the breastmilk in any way.

I've always washed the parts with hot water/soap after each use...but technically don't "sterilize" them until they are run in the dishwater every other day. I guess I'm just uncertain if CF individuals can acquire pseudomonas or other bacteria via ingesting it in food...
