We're resonsible for $15, plus 20%, so the first time we purchased tobi our out of pocket copay was $536. That was almost 3 years ago. Once we reach our out of pocket maximum for the year, which is $1000, then we just have to pay $15.
We have since signed up with the tobi foundation. They help pay for the copay over and above $25. And now get our tobi from the CF services pharmacy.
For anyone having financial troubles paying for tobi, I would recommend asking your doctor to write a script for tobra vials (nebsin) which are used for injection. Then mix this with some normal saline. The doc should be able to find out the best ratio of tobra and saline for you. Then just neb this. It is much cheaper this way. I have done this most of my life, until the last few years where I have used Tobi, but its the same copay for me so not much difference.
