tobra in the eflow

I was wondering if someone could explain why or show me something where it says Tobi can not be used in the eflow? I was looking at one study from the efow and they used 300mg/5mL of tobra. That seems to be the same concentration as Tobi, at least that is what it says on the box.

Thanks.

TOBI manufacturers wouldn't allow US pharmacies to re-consitute their drug.

So tobra is used. Works just as well.

Head to head studies have been conducted on traditional neb/compressor + TOBI vs. eFlow + tobramycin.

Shorter nebulisation time and droplet design for drug targeting of a novel tobramycin formulation (100 mg/ml) achieved by the eFlow® electronic nebuliser compared to TOBI® nebulised by the PARI LC PLUS®.

I guess I don't understand why it needs to be reconsituted? What is different between Tobi and the Tobra you get? Is the Tobra you get 300mg/5ml?

dose of TOBi that goes into the eFlow is much less than the dose of TOBI that goes into a traditional neb/compressor
