Tobramycin

Hi, I've just been prescribed tobramycin (inhaled) and I was wondering if this is the same thing as Tobi? Does anyone else inhale tobramycin? How much do you take? Any side effects I should be looking forward to?

Thanks.

Inhaled Tobra has a preservative in it. TOBI does not. TOBI is a purer form of Tobra. I'm on inhaled Tobra, but am going off it, and onto TOBI because it gives me coughing fits, and spasms in my lungs. I take 2 ampules twice a day, one month on, one month off.

My twin 11 year old boys have been on tabra since they were 2 years old. They take 40mg mixed with 1 cc saline twice a day.
