UC Davis CF Adult Center

Hello,

I'm looking to get out of the hospital Monday. My main doctors and the hospital I go to is in LA, but I live in No. Cal, in Truckee. Truckee is inland from Sacramento about 1.5 hrs.

What I'm needing to do for the first time is:

1. Find a Home Nursing company around Sacramento or Auburn or ?, that will travel up to Truckee to deliver home iVs and stuff. If anyone lives up there, what home care company do you use, name and number?

2. Anyone go to UC Davis AND have GHPP (or have GHPP and live somewhere around Sacramento/Aurburn)? That's what I have and we can't find anyone who accepts GHPP.

3. Who could I call, social worker type or CF clinic organizer, who could help me organize home ivs, tests, etc.?

Please please, if anyone knows of any info I'd be so grateful. I used to do home IVs at my mom's house in So. Cal., but now I'm married and in No. Cal and DO NOT want to stay in LA this time. I want to go home especially since I'm looking at 2 months of home ivs.

Thanks anyone!

Yep, I live in Sacramento and go to the adult UCD CF clinic. I see Dr. Brian Morrissey. I know they take GHPP because they often encourage me to apply but I'm not in need right yet and I'm lazy. Call Jill Steinbacher the CF/Pulm nurse at (916) 734-3738. She's very nice and anything she doesn't know she researches in a snap and gets right back to you. I'm sure she can tell you who the home health care company is that delivers in the area you need.
