UGH !!!!!!

went to dr. today.... fev1 down, so i was depressed right off the bat, she listened to my lungs, said some crackles lower left (where its been hurting) so glad i went today,( originally said they were all booked up )did a chest x-ray... when i got home i called my PA , she said the x-ray Report showed no change from feb. film great right - No... went out for a little while, message on answering machine, dr. wants to start me on another med (have been on cipro 15 days) call to discuss x-ray.... lower pnumonia..... was told that most likely not lungs because "you just finished tune-up, ive learned that anything is possible....Boo Hoo (will try to feel sorry for myself to long ) any way not feeling terrible, have to take oral doxy for 2 wks. hopefully will kick it in the butt fast !!!! Joni 55 y/o f w c/f

I am so sorry about the bad report. You feel sorry for youself as long as you want! Sometimes we just need that. I hope that the new antibiotic will begin working soon!

are you having any other symptoms - fever, lack of appetite, etc.?

that's scary I am having pain in my lower left lobe too....hmmm....

Thanks guys, Lauren, i did have a fever on april 2 and 3 rd. and some night sweats, usually get sweats when i have pneumonia....i also had a very bad pain behind left breast (as i have had in the past due to pneumonia) friday night, since then the pain hasn't been to bad... also not as tired as w/ past episodes, so hope iis a "small pneumonia" as they say.... Joni 55 y.o f w c/f

Hope you get to feeling better soon Joni, at least it's oral and not iv meds!!!!! I know what you mean by wanting to kick this thing out, wish I could do that with mine! nothing seems to be working!
