Awhile back I posted about a mom (Angelas), and her daughter, Crystal who is in end-stage CF. I had asked for us to all keep her in our prayers. I PM'd her a week ago, and hadn't heard back. I was expecting the worst. I received a reply yesterday. Please keep this family in your thoughts.
"Crystal is doing well for now. The doctors are amazed. They told us
on Jan 29th that she would not make it through the weekend. They
told us in July of 05 that she only had 6-9 months. We no longer
listen and just take each day one day at a time. I am so thankful
for all of the younger children that so many advances are being
made in prolonging the life of children with CF. I have not been on
in a while. My son just turned 16 this week and had his first day
back to school. Crystal goes from not being able to get out of bed
for two days and refusing food to getting up and wanting to go get
ice cream and clean her house. It is such an emotional roller
coaster. The doctors just say that have no reason why she is still
doing so well. I told her God has a purpose and will keep you here
until he is ready for you. Just live each day to the fullest. There
is no medical reason for her to be here. She is soooooooo small.
Nothing but a skeleton. Thank you so much for thinking of us and
keeping us in your prayers. It's hard to sign on to the site alot
right now because I get so upset when someone else is not doing
well and I can only handle the situation I am in right now. God
bless your grandchild and I hope she continues to do well."
