I am 35.5 weeks pg so I have made it a full week further into this pregnancy than Alexa's pregnancy! Boy, what a difference one week and a second pregnancy makes! I am TIRED and my body hurts all over. I do not remember being this worn out at 34 weeks while pg with Alexa. When I feel good, I feel good but man, when I am tired, I am dead tired.

On Thursday we had an ultrasound to check Baby Hannah's growth and make sure she is not getting too big too fast with the gestational diabetes. The estimate is 6 pounds which is on the larger end of normal for this point but not reason for concern. Ob also did my first internal. The head was very low and I was 1 cm dilated. I could walk around like that for the next 4.5 weeks or it could happen any day. My next appointment is on Wednesday so we will see if any progress has been made.

Today I had a CF check up. My PFT's were up a bit - 57% 6 weeks ago up to 60% this time. When not pg I am usually 80%-85%. We are not at all alarmed by the drop because all of my numbers are down which corresponds with the pressure baby and belly and all put on the lungs. The lungs just do not have the room to expand. I had the same kind of drops while pg with Alexa and I bounced back after she was born. Right before we decided to try for a 2nd baby I was 89%. That PFT was what made us decide to go for it. We knew we wanted to try for a second and figured we might as well do it at a time when my lung function was up and holding steady. I have been coughing a bit more than usual. My Dr. did not really feel the need for antibiotics at this point but after further discussion he agreed to do 2 weeks of Keflex just to see if reduces the cough. I am also 2 weeks into a course of inhaled Tobi. I am very cautious about taking antibiotics. I am sensitive to all oral meds so that is great. I feel comfortable taking Tobi and Keflex at this point and hope it gives me an extra boost before labor, delivery and having to spend some time in the dirty hospital!

Oh my goodness Anne, I can't believe you're almost to the end! It really seems to have gone by so fast. It sounds like you're starting to get uncomfortable and ready to meet that little sweatpea. I'm glad that you've done well throughout your pregnancy without any big problems (besides the GD - ugh), but nothing that won't fix itself once it's all over. You'll be in my thoughts to have a fast and easy delivery. You're in the homestretch now!

Oh yes, the last 4 weeks full term are the hardest. You are doing great, just try to slow down a little more since she is still gaining weight and now moving down. Extra discomfort and fatigue are totally normal. Home stretch!!!

Anne - remember that ultrasounds can be pretty far off as far as weight goes, especially close to the end. I"m SO glad you've made it this far. My SIL had her first at 33 weeks so for her to make it to 39 weeks this time was huge for her. Every time she felt tired or uncomfortable she reminded herself that this is what she wanted - she didn't want another preemie. You can do it! I hope you can cook her a bit longer so you can take her home right away

Don't forget to remind everyone in the hospital to wash their hands!
