Vent Filters...do you use them.

Hey guys, I heard somewhere that it is a good idea to use those vent filters that fit under the vents in the floor of your home. Is this a good idea. It sounded good to me until an AC professional told me that it can prevent air flow and cause mold to grow in your duct work. Has anyone else heard this?

I have the basic ones that you get at walmart its like $3 for a pack of 6. It is supposed to prevent any extra dust from flowing out and stuff from falling into the vent. Its not a real filter is just about an inch of coushiny stuff

yes any type of filter system is good.
i have a uv cleaning system on the whole house. it was quite an investment, but i've seen a huge difference in my health since installing it.
there's all types of filters and all price ranges out there. checking with a good hvac company can help you.
