I can never get my boys e levels everything else is normal or above. They take the prescribed vitamins and we feed them ever thing they said. But it doesn't seem to be working. Any help would be great

I've always had trouble with my E levels too. Make sure they take their vitamins when they eat and when they take enzymes. Also, if you aren't already, split their daily dose so that they take half in the morning and half at night, the body can only absorb so much at a time so if they are taking too big a dose at once most of it won't be absorbed. And make sure that the vits they take are water soluble, they are easier to absorb. Good luck!!

my e levels are always low too, i just atributed it to slipshot ADEK taking, i always get the amount in everyday but sometimes its all at once and not with enzymes or a meal, i definately need to work on that. I know cipro will make your vitamin k get low, is there something that makes e get low?

DS is on ADEKs, too. But his doctor feels that it doesn't have adequate vitamin K in it, so he's also on a weekly dose of vitamin K -- 1 tablet a week. He also has us add a drop of vitamin e -- we puncture a 400 iu capsule and add it to his morning drink, as well as vitamin a.
