Has anyone seen the news realease on vx-770? It is on the cff website. I was so excited reading it. It sounds very encouraging!! What do you think?????

I have heard that this may help people with class III mutations (missense). It increases open potential open time of the CFTR. This means that the CTFR protein needs to make it to the cell surface for this drug to help.

My husband (a PhD Organic Chemist in pharmaceutical development) thought when it's fast track on average takes 2 yrs. to hit market. Amy, probably knows better since she's involved with the sales end of it though... but let's hope for faster for sure!!

Very interesting. But like Tom mentioned, who will this actually help if/when it gets approval? I'd like to know if anyone has more details on this.
