Hello,

How do you respond to people when they tell you how sorry they are that you have a child with CF. Sometimes I go into a rant of do not be sorry we have a normal life blah blah blah and sometimes I could not be bothered and just say thanks or it is Okay...

What do you say!

Thanks<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Tell them there is no need to be sorry & Even tho it will be a challenge it will make your child a stronger person & your family much closer than anyone else you know.

I guess I don't get "sorry" very much. I get a lot of "oh" 's. I think because most people don't know what it is when I tell them so they just say "oh". When someone does say they're sorry, I usually say,"It's okay, we feel really blessed because of how well she's doing." Someone did start to cry one time when I told her a little about the disease and I had to comfort her, that was a little unusual.
