Weird pain

I THINK it is a lung pain but I am not entirely sure.

It ONLY happens when I am laying on my right side. It is right under my right breast and it hurts to inhale and then after I exhale at the very end it hurts. But as soon as I roll on my stomach the pain is gone. It has been a few days (maybe 5-6) and it hasn't changed. I can't tell if it is a stubborn plug or what.

Any ideas before I call my Dr?

I just dealt with a similar pain, but mine decreased a little every day. I believe mine was a pulled muscle (from chiropractor or vacuuming?). Mine started on Wednesday and today (mon), it's nearly gone.

Has your pain changed at all during the 5-6 days? Gotten worse, gotten better, or stayed the same?

I periodically get the same kind of pains. Usually if I have my husband give it a deep massage I can feel if it hurts in the muscle or if there's a knot, if it's indeed a muscular ache. I'm not a doctor, but it seems since the lungs are under the rib cage muscle massage is not so likely to show up a tender spot, but I don't really know. Also if you move your arms around or twist your body (sort of contort in different ways) you can often find a motion that will stretch and isolate the sore muscle and you can identify which one it is by the way it feels. Breathing uses a lot of muscles so just that isn't a good indication of whether it's lung or muscle. ~Juliet

OH, I forgot to add, often if it is a muscle ache, a heating pad will help it to relax and stretch back out. ~Juliet
