I went to my new cf doctor on tuesday and i left pretty happy. My fev1 was still 48% as it was 3 months ago, my weight is still 122, i was feeling great .
Then the next day ( wed.) i had 2 hemoptysis's, one was about 2 table spooons, the next was about a tea spoon. Then on thursday i started running a fever that went up to 101.4 . I was like ........" what the crap is going on ".... Needless to say i had to go back for a visit yesterday and do pft's again which had a slight drop (45% ), and i am now on iv's. I was having such a good run of feeling well for a while. I cant complain about the iv because i had 8 months of peace from them so it's ok. Wow how things can change over night

Now trying explaining that to someone so unfamiliar with CF in general LOL! I hope things get back in line for you soon! Lots of hemoptysis happening on the board!

It is amazing how quickly things can go kaplooey.
I too may be in line for IVs if my current cold/congestion doesn't respond to oral antibiotics. Must be this time of year of something??
