What is normal?

My home health nurses and PTs keep asking me what is normal for me? I can't answer this question. Can any one else?

My sputum is always dark. It is brown, tan and gray. Plus I bring up a lot like 1/4 to 1/2 during manual PT. This has been going on for months. I never bring up light colored stuff and is almost always thick like pudding.

How much and what color is every one else coughing up when they are not having a flare up?

I am constantly productive - I bring up tons of stuff all the time regardless of how I'm feeling. Its usually some shade of yellowish green. It gets significantly darker green when I'm sick, light yellow-ish green or even clear when I'm feeling great.
