Where do you get your Pari Neb Cups?

We usually get DS's neb cups from the RT department at the clinic by the bagful. And the past few times we've gone to the clinic, I haven't asked for any. Last month I switched out all the neb cups and the one we use for Pulmozyme is faulty -- plugged up and the tube pops off during treatments.

Anyway, the bag o' neb cups is dwindling -- pretty much only off brand disposables -- no paris left. Figure I should order some neb cups to get us thru until our next clinic appointment this summer.

For filters and fish masks, I've ordered from American Allergy in the past -- think the nebs run about $15 plus another $5-6 for shipping. Any other suggestiongs?

Call the RT department at the clinic and ask that they send you a few. Why pay for things they can (and have in the past) provided. They get tons of them to distribute. And, I thought that you were supposed to only use a Pari wiht Pulmozyme? OR, is that TOBI? I don't remember. We only have Pari's because that's what the clinic has always given us. I've never paid for one. But, if you find a good, cheap source, I'll take note for when the "well runs dry."

I don't take my RT's PARI's because I have insurance and many at my clinic aren't as fortunate as I am.

Even if it's just one neb, I want to make sure it goes to those in need.

In terms of whre I pruchase mine, I do Allegra Asthma Tech or I go through a local med supply place that takes my insurance.

I've never run it thru our insurance before because when I contacted the local medical supply company initially, they gave me the run around.

Also, when we got DS's first pari compressor via apria -- insurance was charged over $350 for Proneb Ultra. So guess I'm a little gunshy about companies inflating prices if they know insurance will pay.

I know a lot of people don't like them, but we use CF Services Pharmacy only for the Pari Nebs and Masks. The nebs are $11 a piece and the Bubbles Masks are $1 each. I did a lot of research on the internet and they are the CHEAPEST place, also free shipping.

Just have your clinic call you in a prescription and they will mail them right out free. I just pay out of pocket for them and then send it into my insurance company to be reimbursed, but we get 6 nebs and 6 masks at a time for $72 I think.

I also like to save the free nebs at the clinic for those who don't have insurance or can't pay. We were getting them from Apria and they were charging my insurance company almost $40 per neb and would only let me have one every 6 months. I like changing them every 3 months and my insurance company has never questioned getting them 6 at a time.

Good luck!

I get mine from the CF Services Pharmacy, too, for $11 each. I usually get somewhere between 6 and 8 at a time, because with my Pulmozyme and Tobi (and maybe Colistin?) I get free ones with my order every 4-6 times (something like that ). You have to have an order over $50? though, for the free shipping.
