Who is Jerry Cahill...

I'm sorry if this seems to be a silly question, but since I realized I've been in Japan for nearly a decade and a half, there are still some things I've missed!

I've heard of Boomer Esiason (Though I thought his name was Boomer Eliason), but can't recall what football team he played for, and if he's still even playing or not. I do know he has a child with CF, therefore has been putting a lot of energy into the CF Foundation, and other things related to it.

However, even after trying a search on Jerry Cahill, I couldn't figure out whether he's a musician, famous news anchor-man, or an athelete of some sort, nor even figure out whether he is an American, or happens to be English (or is it considered to be 'British'?), or Australian (I got some searches saying he was).
Even looking at his home page, I saw a lot of what he was doing, but couldn't find out about him, much less what his motivation is for CF support.

Oh, yea, I do know who Rosie O'Donnell is, though...I'm not that far behind!!

Jerry is fellow CFer who is a true inspiration. He uses his time as a volunteer for the Boomer Foundation. He promotes exercise and he personally is very active. He has run the NYC marathon with his O2 tank in tow, done Podcasting as well as sells items & awareness for CF. I personally have not met him, but Jeanne (admin of this site) adores him and feels he is an example for CFers to try and follow. Here is a link of Jerry's vaulting that he did last year.

Thanks, Mel!

I've been seeing his name on here, and had been meaning to find out whether he was a famous singer, or something like that, that I'd never heard of.

So, basically, he's a fellow CF'r who is active in athletics, and he does volunteer work for CF.
