The forum on the CF trust in the UK had all information wiped out from the past 2 years. I guess you could call it a catastrophic event, well as you can imagine there was a lot of information lost, and no doubt a lot of tears were shed.

What would you do if this forum had this happen?

I would have no idea, what I would do, I would diffanatly be at a loss and then maybe l ll find another forum or shoot I dont know, I just hope it never happens.

I would only hope this forum is backed up so it could be put on another server if need be. No need to have everything lost if precautions are taken. That's sad. Sounds like someone messed up to me.

That happened at a site I do a lot of writing on, or all my writings were there, me and many many other people lost tonnes of stuff that was irreplaceble...the hardest part was losing comments from people who meant alot to me and have lost touch with...

But there's nothing you really can do apart from move on...

As a regular to the UK forums i am devastated by it. I hope the server for this site has a better system in place to avoid these kind of back up errors. All the lost words of people now gone cannot be spoken again <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

We have BILL! and everything is backed up every night. We had to get a heavy duty database two years ago...

Bill will respond to this too.

We are always thinking of how to make this site better, using your suggestions and studying up on all the new ideas that come our way.

Our condolences to the British site....yes it would be devastating to lose all the information!
