Yeast Infection

I just got a call from my GYN saying my Pap is good....HURRAY!

Tests also show I have a yeast infection. Although that is not a complete surprise since I am always on some antibiotics......

I guess between the yogurts & probiotics that it didnt let it get to the point of itching, burning etc so I wasnt aware of it.

They wanted to call in a script, but I told them no Diflucan because of my elevated liver enzymes so they are calling in a the vaginal suppository.

My ??? is to anyone here to I should ask the doctor....can long term, untreated yeast infections cause issues besides the annoyance & discomfort???

my untrained, "undiplomaed", completely uneducated and non-medical humble opinion would be no. I think most women tend to be "yeasty" on and off through their lives. "yeasty".....that was a gross description<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Glad you finally got a pap. Good girl!

I had no clue I had a yeast infection until my pap results came back as well. I was just curious if any of you (ladies) have noticed that after you use the Monistat cream or suppositories there is a pinkish discharge. Every time I use OTC yeast infection treatments I develop this pinkish/light red discharge and am curious if I am the only one. Also, can someone tell me how to post topics, I must be technologically challenged!
