yet another neb cleaning question

I boil my son's nebs and shake them out in a strainer, then place on paper towels to dry, covered with more paper towels. I'd like them to dry a little faster, if possible. Can I throw them in the microwave in the strainer for a few minutes to dry some, before I put them on the paper towels? Or will they melt, since they won't be in water? I'm afraid to try it and ruin the nebs.

Anyone else do this?
