I think Aboveallislove just wants to make sure people, including you and me, feel safe starting different sorts of threads - about life, death, good and bad news.
We're all on the same side. Let's leave this thread for people who wish to talk about the subject.
Edited to add: (((hugs))) to...
Believing, I'm sorry this thread upset you and any others. While I could have posted this is the Remembering forum, I don't think that would have reached people dealing with this situation now. So, I posted in this forum. The ideas the article covers are novel, likely not to be passed along by...
Amber, Glad to hear you haven't been feeling worse. I suspect they won't treat your candida, but definitely ask your drs about it. Also, I imagine it can't hurt to eat plain yogurt and take probiotics too, if you don't already.
Good luck getting your PFTs up!
NYTimes: Teenagers Face Early Death, on Their Terms
http://nyti.ms/1FXHRd6
This article is about teens facing the end of their lives. It's upsetting and maybe not for everyone to read, but I think worth sharing.
The article talks about how kids aren't legally part of decision making regarding...
Here are a couple of threads you could read through, talking about candida culture results.
Have you been feeling worse, lower PFTs?

Helenlight,
I'm sorry about that. It's very frustrating to take a survey and not find an answer that applies to you. We were trying to get broad geographic regions (with a separation of the U.S.), and I went with a basic listing of the the seven continents.
I agree that there are more refined...
I think you've said in the past that you were going to get your testosterone checked out. Did you do that?
With your above average lung function and normal BMI (info you've given in other threads), you should be all set to gain muscle normally. But "normal" is a range. Some people simply gain...
Congratulations on finishing your first tune-up. I've been following your experience and kept meaning to post something like a 'hang in there" and a 'good luck.' Well, I'll post now. :) Thank you for sharing your experience!
It's scary to hear how much your FEV1 dropped, without you realizing...
I agree with nmw about focusing your energy on acceptance. I don't think breast augmentation would help, and it may actually increase the top-bottom unbalance you are frustrated with--not to mention that surgery carries risks.
Here are some fashion tips you probably already know, but I'll...
I'm not sure if there is a clinical trial happening in fecal transplant therapy, but there is a lot of research and buzz about it.
I hear you on the feeding therapy. My friend's son went through it and it did help. I used to have them over for dinner a lot when he was a toddler, so my friend...
Jshet,
I typed up a reply last night on my phone and lost it due to my twitchy thumbs. Grrr.
I'm so sorry you and your son have these difficulties to deal with. So many allergies and the sensory texture issues must make for a really hard road. Also, I remember having a bleeding disorder...
SuzanneNez,
I see your post about non-CF bronchiectasis. I have it quoted above. I'm not sure why you aren't seeing it.
Anyway I think your comment makes complete sense in this thread. Having bronchiectasis warrants a CF test, and that you're a carrier and you have bronchiectasis is...
I second the advice to go for as much fragrance free as you can. One of my kids had a preschool teacher years ago who loved Glade Plug-ins and Potpourri aerosol sprays. After several weeks of twitchy coughing all morning after dropping my son off, I asked her to please use less of these things...

HIIT discussed in the NY Times with regards to positive effects on people with chronic illnesses including COPD.
A couple of quotes from the article:
"Among the physiological benefits of HIIT are the body’s...
Enzo,
Your other thread stated that the physical work of your job is overwhelming you and you plan to ask for accommodations to rest more. Given that stated issue, adding an elevation mask to any exercise you're trying to do on top of your job seems like a potential misplacement of your...
I'm sorry you've discovered that you have CFRD, and at the same time, happy for you that have an answer to the mystery, and there's a likelihood that treating the CFRD will improve your lungs and energy level and overall health. Let us know how it goes.
This website is very comprehensive and says genotype is a poor predictor of survival.

This article goes into more detail about mutation type and severity of pancreatic and pulmonary disease in CF. Page 8...
This NYTimes mini article is about making exercise a habit. In the comment section that follows the article, there are all sorts of interesting and inspirational ideas.
I think people with CF tend to develop tremendous discipline because of their treatment regimens, so a lot of the talk of...
