I was drinking about once a week after tx but about 14 mos after tx, i started having a bad reaction. Flushing, itching, face redness, and blood pressure changes after a few sips. I stopped drinking totally. Not worth risks to me. If i didnt have the bad reactions, id probably still have a drink...
i agree. DO NOT GET A TEACHING JOB!!!
that is the worst possible scenario because all kids/teenagers do is carry germs around. CONSTANTLY. they are always touching things, each other, lockers, equipment, and pass it along to the next person. my best friend is a teacher and she is ALWAYS fighting...
There are supposed to be limits with the amount of enzymes you take with meals. However, i found that the only amount that works for me without stomachaches is 8 Creon 24k with meals.
How many Creon do you take with meals? Your age?
i think as we age, we need more enzymes but there is no true...
the bipap is supposed to help a lot. my problem was that i couldn't keep it on. everytime i finally adjusted it to fit snugly i needed to cough and had to take it off and start all over again. it really is difficult to use for people who have to cough constantly.
but its supposed to be very...
“You might never fail on the scale I did, but some failurein life is inevitable. Failure gave me an inner security that I had neverattained by passing examinations. Failure taught me things about myselfthat I could have learned no other way. I discovered that I had a strongwill, and more...

You may want to seriously consider living in Pitt until you get your lungs. It seems like an awful stressful situation to have to depend on someone else to get you there in time to save your life. I know it may be costly to live there but i think the assurance you would feel being close to the...
Make sure your insurance covers it! Therapists will happily see you and bill your insurance but MOST will not tell you that there is a large portion of mental health services that is NOT covered under insurance plans which could leave you with a LARGE mental health bill.
Just be prepared and do...
I was taken by ambulance going 90 miles/hr in the middle of a snow storm for what should have been a 3 hour drive to UPMC (i wasn't listed yet, just really sick and needing morphine for pain).
Do ambulances only do this if its an emergency? why couldn't an ambulance take you? I guess i don't...
i was transplanted at Pitt too- same as Amber.
I would go there again in a heartbeat.
I had the choice between Pitt and Cleveland and I chose Pitt because my cf center told me that CC waits too long to transplant people. (like until they are literally on their last breath). Then a staff person...
does anyone know where a vest can be donated?
I would like to get a tax deduction so it would have to be an entity that can give me a receipt.
unless you need it badly and can pay the shipping from east coast.
if you are getting more cough when you lay down, its most likely acid reflux related
the only time i get acid reflux is when i am laying down right before bed
Sorry you're having so much trouble and it doesn't seem to be resolving.
This may sound very simple and not enough for your extensive problems...but I'll say it anyway.
I started having stomach issues last fall-constant CHURNING pain in my stomach. I adjusted my Creon (on my own) which helped a...
Sorry to hear. I don't have much tips except to get out what you can. Keeping the cough in fuels infection.
Its a hard road. Keep staying positive and stay up on the research. You never know what clinical studies may be available to you.
